The Teeth + Raccoon

Raccoon was a band. A Philadelphia band. Raccoon was Andrew, Scott, Toby, and Rory. These four are all great friends, and have been since high school. They were weirder when they were younger, but they are all still fairly weird. Toby and Scott are now making a wonderful life of it in Dr Dog. Rory and Andrew are desperately seeking broad commercial success in their new band Mitch Fiction and the Shits.

Raccoon recorded a debut full-length around 1998. Then they released an EP in 2000, entitled Strange Terrain, that was accompanied by a national tour (highlighted by meeting Park the Van honcho Chris Watson and his mates in the great band Frank Jordan). But Raccoon's crowning achievement came with the release of the Christmas City EP, a split with best buddies and musical compatriots The Teeth. It features 4 Raccoon songs, all undeniable classics. Grab these tunes. They are of historical significance in addition to their pleasing sonic attributes.
